Meditation recommendations for beginners Want to start mediating? Guided mediations were the answer for me. At first, I had no idea what to do when it came to meditating. I searched for guided mediations on YouTube and found myself coming back to the channel 'the Mindful Movement' most. I like to keep my meditations somewhat short.. I usually aim for about 15-20 minutes for my regular day to day. Listening to a guided meditation like theirs, helps me to relax and calm the mind. They even do some visual exercises. The thing I hear most when talking about meditation with my friends is that they have a hard time calming the mind. I think that you should try and look at mediation in a way that does not judge the practice if your mind is racing. Sometimes bringing awareness to what continues to come up during mediations can be the most rewarding & healing part of the process. Mediation is a practice. Be easy and understanding with yourself. Treat yourself with kindness and love. Remember to breathe & release your emotions & energy.
